What are the measures to be taken by the factory in respect of the safety of the workers?

Every factory must take appropriate measures as per the provisions of the Act to

1. fence certain machinery;
2. protect young workers  working on hazardous machines;
3. protect workers repairing machinery in motion;
4. maintain hoists and lifts in good working condition;
5. protect workers from injury to their eyes;
6. protect workers from dangerous dust, gas, fumes and vapours;
7. protect workers from fire etc.
