Q. Is an employee eligible for EPF and ESI right from the day of commencement of employment?
A. YES! As per the PF and ESI Act If the establishment is registered with EPF and ESI, any employee joining the ranks is eligible to EPF and ESI from day one of commencement of employment. This is subject to the salary ceiling of Rs.15,000/ for EPF and gross salary is below Rs.21,000/- for ESI
