What are the provisions of the Act regarding the appointment of Welfare Officers and Safety Officers?
Large factories are required to appoint Welfare Offices and Safety Officers. If the factory is employing five hundred workers the employer has to appoint one or more Welfare officers. A factory employing one thousand or more workers is required to appoint one or more Safety Officers only if the State Government directs the employer to do so.
