What are the measures to be taken by an establishment in respect of the health and safety of the employees as per the Shops & Establishments Act?
As per the provisions of the Act, every establishment should take the following measures for the health and safety of the employees:
- Maintain cleanliness. The premises should always be maintained neat and clean.
- Have facilities for disposal of waste and effluence.
- Provide for proper ventilation.
- Provide sufficient lighting.
- Maintain all precautions against fire.
