How is the term “Establishment” defined under the Shops and Establishments Act?
The term “Establishment” under this Act means a shop, commercial establishment, restaurant, eating-house, residential hotel, theatre or any place of public amusement or entertainment. It also includes any other establishments that the State government may declare to be an establishment under the Act.
