What are the penalties for violation of the provisions of the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970?
Violation of the provisions of the Act by the Principal Employer or the Contractor would lead to imprisonment of upto 3 months or with fine which may extend to ₹1000 or with both. In case of continuous violation an additional fine which may extend to ₹100 for every day of such contravention will be charged.
