If any employer ordered by the Labour Court or Tribunal to reinstate a workman, prefers an appeal against the order in the High Court or Supreme Court, is he required to pay wages to that workman during the pendency of such proceedings?

Where in any case, a Labour Court or Tribunal by its award directs reinstatement of any workman and the employer prefers an appeal against such awards in the High Court or Supreme Court, the employer is liable to pay such workman, during the pendency of such proceedings full wages last drawn by him, inclusive of any maintenance allowance admissible to him under any rule.
