What is the duration of maternity leave for women employees under the Maternity Benefit Act?
As per the Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act, 2017, any women employee who is eligible for maternity benefit is entitled to maternity leave for a maximum of 26 weeks of which not more than 8 weeks shall be preceding the expected date of delivery.
